Alphonso Davies named 2021 Concacaf Men's Player of the Year
Canada and Bayern Munich superstar Alphonso Davies has added another bit of silverware to his ever-growing tally, having been named as Concacaf's 2021 Men's Player of the Year during Monday evening's Concacaf Awards show.
Davies, 21, helped guide Canada to its first FIFA World Cup berth since 1986, and was also instrumental for his club's successes as Bayern won the 2021 Bundesliga and 2019-20 UEFA Champions League titles.
The global soccer (and Twitch) star has been sidelined for much of 2022 but is expected to make his return on April 12 as Bayern takes on Villarreal in UCL action.
