CanWNT to play friendlies vs. Iceland, Korea Republic in Spain
Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team (CANWNT) will travel to Murcia, Spain, for a pair of international friendlies during the November FIFA international window. The team will face 13th-ranked Iceland on Friday, 29 November, followed by 19th-rankded Korea Republic on Tuesday, 3 December. Both matches will be played at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain.

Canada’s Women’s National Team has faced Iceland two times since 2016, securing one win and one draw. Their most recent matchup took place at the Algarve Cup in February 2019 and ended in a 0-0 draw. Before that, Canada achieved a 1-0 victory over Iceland in March 2016.
Canada has had a strong historical record against Korea Republic, holding a 7-1-1 (win-draw-loss) series record since their first meeting in 2000. Their latest encounter was a scoreless draw in Toronto in June 2022, where Canada controlled the game but couldn’t break through Korea Republic’s defensive setup. Prior to that, the teams faced off in the 2018 Algarve Cup final, where Canada clinched a 3-0 victory.
